बेटी के जन्म होने के कुछ दिन बाद ही रमा अपने पति से बोली , " मैंने शर्मा जी की लड़की को देखा है, कोएड में पढ़ने का क्या असर हुआ है ! दिन भर लड़कों से बातें , यहाँ तक कि घर आना जाना भी है| न बाबा न! लड़की को अच्छे संस्कार देने है हमें "|
तीन साल बाद रमा की बेटी स्कूल जाने लायक होती है, " सुनिए जी ! आज ऑफिस से लौटते हुए दाखिले के फॉर्म ले आइयेगा, इस साल दाखिला करवाना है इसका | और सुनिए कोएड के ही लाईयेगा , शर्मा जी की बेटी का डॉक्टरी में हो गया है, सुना है कोएड में पढ़के बड़ा पर्सनैलिटी डेवेलपमेंट होता है "!!

ReplyDeleteaur yeh hum sab ne kisi na kisi level pe jhela hai..agar padosi ka baccha engineer hai to hum use usse bhi bada engineer banayenge..its just mere show off..nt a concern of the child's future..

dese incidences do occur in our daily life but wen dey come out as such stories..dey aware ppl to some extend atleast..nd can socially change d scenario if they want to!!

a very gud 1....very important social msg is given by this story...dis is really a major problem wid da parents..dey compare dere child wid those of others..not just wid children, dis is a thing so much prevailing in da urban india, dat is of competition wid neighbours in each n evrything.

ReplyDeletetruely strikes at the exact problem thats prevailing in our society. brings out the real hipocracy of people.
this not a problem of just rural india but of urban india as well.. the gender bias between girls n boys, the pressure that a child has to face from his parents, the competition at which the parents want to excel, through their child..
it also depicts the dual nature of people, people who abandon you and pull your leg down when you want to shine and the same people who will bow to you once you have made your mark.
one short little story and so many things to learn..
